JUST KNOW

This was inspired by the daily life of a person who's able differently. I hope your eyes as well as your hearts may be opened.

The stares I get as I walk down the road,
or struggle my way as the tuk-tuk I board,
Makes me wonder & sometimes fill with anger,
Retaliating with my eyes hateful daggers.

The raised eyebrows, wide mouths & quiet whispers,
In my heart feels like a million blisters.
I may say i don't really mind,
but even in your world, that's deemed unkind.

How long must we live here for y'all to accept,
There are different kinds of people, t'was God's concept.
Showing His uniqueness & creativity,
Making everyone with different abilities.

Don't think I'm not worth telling,
or a burden that just keeps yelling.
I have feelings just like everybody else,
& a great mind that's more than blessed.

So if you see me on the road, don't hesitate to say hi,
I know we've been branded but it sure is worth a try.
Just don't look at me with a face written all 'EEW!'

P.S I love you!

As always, your  comments will be highly appreciated :)

THAT OUR LOVE WAS CEMENTED

Hi everyone! Today's post is a bit different. I wasn't really thinking of anything specific but i just started writing. At the end of it when i started reading, it felt like a withering power....a lady just about to die but feeling desperate to experience something special. Seems I'll ruin it for y'all so I'm going to leave it at that.

How does it feel when you wake up in the morning,
& you feel like you are drowning,
with all that's passing by
If you feel me say "I"

How does it feel when you see yourself turning
To all directions with a yearning
For someone to save you
When you break into two

So please understand me when i say
That i need you everyday
Of my life...to survive
Now do you get it?

Show me you're the best thing in my life
Say someday I'll be your wife
Make me happy, but don't be drastic
'Coz i feel so plastic

Time is running out for me, i know,
But i want to say i scored home
Deep in you and with you
I'll never feel alone

Even six feet within
I may be a little pale, weak and thin
But I'll be happy and contented
That our love was cemented :)

Please comment down below and tell me what you think :)

DEAR MR. PRESIDENT

I wrote this sometime last week. With everything that has been happening to our country and the African leaders, i can't help but wonder what would run through their minds if they were in different positions. Has anyone else had the same question(s)? I dunno. Hope y'all enjoy and tell me what you think :)

                DEAR MR. PRESIDENT

What if you were just an ordinary man,
With an ordinary plan
For your family you try to fend,
Uncertain of life's bends

Would you be happy with what has become of our country
Would you hold your country men's hands in solidarity
or would you sing with all your being the song of solidarity
To the individuals swinging & gloating in prosperity

What would be your dreams?
Would they take you to your brim,
as you fight for their light
or would you let them fade out of sight

What would you think of the economy?
Would it crush you or you'd practice autonomy?
Don't turn your face away....What? You feel ashamed?
Of all the lives your decisions have claimed?

I don't mean to make you sweat
You see..all this is 'coz of a bet
My inner self believes your drowning in debt
Due to all the people, dreams and futures you threat
