LOVE, GRACE & FAITH

In the beginning was the Word,
Everything perfect, nothing bad.
Since the beginning there's been love,
That's always overflowed from above.

In our eyes transgression makes us better,
But ultimately makes us all bitter.
Why can't we see the bigger picture?
Why are we such evil creatures?

Never fear, there is hope,
If you doubt ask the Pope.
For Salvation has come upon us,
Through the Messiah Christ Jesus.

It's by Grace & through Faith,
That's what His word saith.
So don't trust a man's hearsay,
Concentrate on the Bible & persistently Pray.

JEHOVAH SHAMMAH

I want to talk to You but I don't,
I know I should, but don't bother about Your font.
The first few days my heart's heavy 'coz I'm haunt-
ed, the little voice in me taunts.

I try to go back but after a few days I fail,
or maybe it's because secretly I want to bail,
Even prayers seem longer each day,
Suddenly becoming unconscious as I lay.

I keep this facade, I care what they think,
But deep down I know I'm drowning as I sink.
I'm too ashamed to turn to you and cry,
So I choose to remain spiritually dry.

I read a book, phrase, watch TV or listen to a song,
Then suddenly realize You've been there all along.
Realize in my imperfection is where Your perfection lies,
And no matter what I may do Your love never dies.

Help me see and always believe Your truth,
Help me remain as loyal as Ruth.
When I
fall please pick me up,
For You are my God who fills my cup.
