Look at me now,
as I stand here wasted.
Look at all the rows,
that have got me toasted.
A man who once tore a lion apart,
Killed the men who broke his heart.
Is now weak, broken and blind,
Chained like a dog by the Philistine's binds.
Is it something I did wrong to my God?
Is it something my ancestors did & forgot?
Was it planned in advance before my birth?
or is it I who lost my self worth?
They tricked me Oh Lord
And worse, my eyes they gourged!
Why must I suffer
while they get tougher?
Animals & thirst did not kill me,
Jehovah Nissi, You protected me.
Forgive me for I have been too weak,
Swimming in pride, lust & deceit.
One more chance is all I ask,
To crush these people & turn them to dust.
May Your strength fill both my hands,
Bring honor & fame in my father's land.

Breaking from sin, drowning in sin
